ScreamingBox CEO Dave Erickson recently traveled to Atlanta, GA. to attend the ISPOR 2024 Tradeshow, from May 5-8. ISPOR offers a glimpse into the future of healthcare and focuses on data research, outcomes and market access for Pharmaceutical and Medical device companies.

Not a typical show for ScreamingBox, but one of our partner clients was there who utilized some AI, Machine Learning and AR/VR development and Dave went to understand the industry and meet potential clients.

The event gathers global healthcare leaders, economists, policymakers, and innovators to share insights and explore advancements in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).

In addition to the Expo area which had about 50 booths, ISPOR host a major industry conference which is a hub of collaboration, featuring sessions on data analytics, cost-effectiveness analysis, and real-world evidence. Keynote speakers provide visionary insights into the economic impact and effectiveness of healthcare interventions, emphasizing the potential to enhance holistic well-being. Attendees gain a comprehensive understanding of balancing affordability, access, and effectiveness in healthcare.

One of the main topics of discussion at all the booths and networking events, was the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for data processing and outcome prediction in the healthcare industry.

Sessions on AI in HEOR methods, health equity, and policy developments ensured that attendees left with actionable insights for real-world challenges. We left with some ever interesting AI opportunities that lead us to believe there is a bright future for AI in the healthcare industry.
